•        Different agricultural products require different climates if they are to be grown successfully. 
•        Basic raw materials can only be produced by those countries fortunate enough to have them. 
•        Many goods can only be produced by very sophisticated equipment and only the advanced industrial countries own such equipment. It can thus be argued that countries trade with each other because of unequal distribution of resources among them.
