Computer and its recent moves and usage



Computer is any programmable electronic device that accepts and process data, presents the results/outputs and stores data/results.

Recently in this modern world, computer has been used to simply  and automate the following activities

1. ATM Transactions - Financial operations (cash deposit and cash withdrawal) are being completed through an Automated Teller Machines instead of spending more time in banking halls.
2. Consumer authentication and self-checkout systems - through modern scanning machines and fingerprint systems, personal information/details are easily captured and retrieved.
3. POS Systems and retail stores - The use of point Of Sales machines/service has eradicated the great use cash payment. This system enables customers to make payment electronically. This electronic payment system has reduced the risk associated with cash handling. with this system, no need of carrying excessive cash for spending.
4. GPS Systems - this is another modern move in location identification that has enabled simplification in reaching various places around the world.

all the above functions have been simplified as a result of modern computer advancements. All devices above are computers designed to suit the specific purposes depending on the subject matter.

Capital of a limited company is divided into shares of a fixed amount . The amount stated in the Memorandum is known as the Authorized Share Capital . For example, this may be shs. 10 million divided into 100,000 shares of shs. 100 per share. This fixed amount per share is called its par or nominal value .
